Underexposed

Workshop of participative photography carried out with a group of young Moroccans who arrived in Catalonia without adult references and who are under the service of first reception of the Pinetó, together with a group of young people of the Esplai GMM of Lluïsos de Gràcia. The result of the workshop was a photographic mural intervention that aims to reflect on the diversity of realities but also on the shared issues of the youth to combat hatred and discrimination.

The creative process began with a training conducted by RUIDO Photo on photographic portrait to the group of young Moroccans between April and July 2019. Afterwards, they themselves transmitted the knowledge they had learned to the youth group at Esplai GMM, thus fostering a relation between the two groups that would otherwise not exist. The activity is part of a project on the effects of hate speech and is supported by Barcelona City Council.
