Visualizing Investigations: Image skills for investigative journalists, investigative skills for photojournalists

Ruido Photo and Late have organized both in-person and virtual training sessions, bringing together investigative journalists and photojournalists from Europe and Latin America to collaboratively develop a series of recommendations for our network of reporters, particularly those covering environmental issues.

These workshops took place in five different cities—Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, and Ferrara—with the goal of fostering dialogue and creating a space for exchange among professionals based in Europe. Throughout these five sessions, we worked to identify best practices, covering everything from pre-field preparation to the final selection and processing of content.

As a result of this collaborative process, we have compiled the insights and recommendations from these exchanges into a manual designed to serve as a guide and support system for journalists and photojournalists in their investigative and documentary work on environmental issues.
