The Backway: at the origins of African migration

This is the exhibition of the first chapter of the project "The Backway," that focuses on the origins of the main migratory route from Africa to Europe. The exhibition compiles the testimonies of people affected by migration through a series of photographic portraits and stories in text and audio narrated by journalist Xavier Aldekoa. The street exhibition traveled through different localities of Catalonia. A large version was shown in the façade of Teatre Lliure de Montjuïc in Barcelona from December 2017 to July 2018 and then in the cultural center Nau Bostik, also in Barcelona.
